Get your free native plant for Native Plant Month

Come by for a free native plant on Saturday, April 8

April is Native Plant Month! To celebrate, we are hosting our next native plant giveaway on Saturday, April 8, 9am-12pm (or until we run out of trees) at Nānākuli Intermediate and High School, A Building. Come by and celebrate with us and pick up a free native plant for your home! This giveaway is part of our Virtual Tree Planting Program.

With the help of Hui Kū Maoli Ola and Nānākuli High School teachers, we will be giving away native plant species that are known to thrive in the climate of West Oʻahu on a first come, first served basis.

We’ll also have our super volunteer tree experts on hand to help you pick the right plant for you—whether you live in an apartment, rental or house with open space, and everything in between—and give you tips to help your new plant thrive.

Check out these native plants THRIVING from our past plant giveaways

In the spirit of Native Plant Month, we checked in with all of our past plant giveaway participants from the last two years to see how their plants are doing—and we are pleased to share that many of them are doing well! This is our favorite part of our Virtual Tree Planting Program, hearing happy plant parents gawk over their happy healthy native plants. Here are a few photos that were shared with us:
