Word of the month: Public Access Room
Have you heard about the Hawaiʻi State Capitol’s Public Access Room?
If you would like to engage with the legislative session, or just learn more about civic engagement, the Public Access Room is a great place to start. Not only can you look through their updated website for up to date news, informational one-pagers and workshops, but you can also visit them in Room 401 at the Hawaii State Capitol building. Here, you’ll find informed staff, computers, printers, televisions to watch hearings, telephones and even charging stations to make legislative work accessible and available to the public. When it comes to the decision-making process, your voice matters - and the Public Access Room helps eliminate barriers to engagement. Hope to see you there!
