Letter: Shut down Navy’s aging fuel tanks

September 30, 2018  | Updated September 28, 2018 8:48pmWater is life! The Navy has told us we need the Red Hill fuel tanks for homeland security. I can’t think of many things more important to our homeland security than protecting our precious clean water. The corroding fuel tanks threaten one of our most important sources for water on Oahu. Storing fuel in corroding tanks above an aquifer is complete insanity. It’s time to shut them down.Sherry PollackKaneohe
