Two more Navy zones cleared for tap water use

TL;DR - wo more Navy zones near Pearl Harbor have been given the all clear for tap water use.

Water users in the Hawaiʻi Air National Guard and Makalapa zones are being told their tap water is safe to use for drinking, cooking and oral hygiene.

This brings to nine the number of zones where the state Department of Health has declared the tap water safe.

Ten more zones have yet to be given the green light.

The Navy is flushing and testing water in its Pearl Harbor distribution system after jet fuel contaminated it last year.
