Aging Well: Kupuna living in a Nuuanu senior community keeping watch over Red Hill cleanup

TL;DR - A group of seniors living in Nuuanu says political activism over the Red Hill fuel cleanup keeps them Aging Well. They all live at 15 Craigside, an Arcadia assisted living and memory care facility, and they formed a group to make sure Red Hill is cleaned up properly. Many say after the major fuel spill in 2021, they needed to do something.

This group of impassioned seniors gives retirement a whole new meaning. David Nakamoto is a retired reverend whose found a new avocation as an environmental advocate.

"Water is life. We have a responsibility to our children and grandchildren who will be affected by this," he said.
