Fearing Contamination, Honolulu Has Slowed Pumping At A Well Near Red Hill

TL;DR - Honolulu Board of Water Supply cuts pumping at Halawa shaft in half as a precautionary measure. Residents from Moanalua to Maunalua get their water from the same aquifer as the Navy’s system that is experiencing contamination. There is concern that the contamination could spread to the Board of Water Supply’s system, however, the BWS is not trusting the Navy, taking extra caution and keeping a close eye on their water system.
