Defying expectations, CO2 emissions from global fossil fuel combustion are set to grow in 2022 by only a fraction of last year’s big increase

Thanks to renewable energy technologies and the rise of electric vehicles, global CO2 emissions from fossil fuels are expected to “only'' increase by under 1% in 2022. Although we hope that CO2 emissions will cease completely, this is good news in the transition to clean energy. Now, we just need to watch and make sure that the move to renewable energy technology is also just and equitable! Ige Makes Appointments To PUC, Cabinet Positions

Gov. David Ige announced this week that he is appointing solar energy executive (and former Sierra Club ExCom President) Colin Yost, to fill a vacant seat on the Public Utilities Commission and also a new director and deputy director for the Department of Accounting and General Services.
