Did you know? The Hawaiʻi Public Utilities Commission takes on energy equity by opening a new docket and hosts two public participation conferences, March 1 and March 8!

In a first of its kind action, the Public Utilities Commission opened a docket “inviting the public to share their input on how Hawaiʻi can make the transition to clean energy more just and equitable. The Commission even created a special webpage to make information as accessible as possible.”

Community members are encouraged to participate in this unique docket by attending two opening meetings to learn more about how the PUC operates and the approaches currently being considered to achieve energy equity. PUC staff will be available for an informal conversation after the formal agenda.

FYI The Sierra Club of Hawaiʻi and Blue Planet will be intervenors represented by EarthJustice.
