Follow the carbon + Special Invite!
Halloween is just around the corner, which means big box stores will be full of costumes and holiday “fast fashion,” which are particularly energy intensive with an extremely high carbon footprint. Not to mention how wasteful and toxic these goods are when considering their full life-cycle.
That is why we are excited to invite you to celebrate the Halloween without all the waste! On October 14th at Wai Wai Collective, we are co-sponsoring a Halloween costume clothing swap to promote a sustainable and circular economy with food and local vendors!
Clothing swap participants can sign up here to set up a time to drop off their costumes to Waiwai Collective one week prior to the event (October 7-10). But you do not need to bring a costume to attend or enjoy the event! You can purchase a pre-loved costume to support the space! There will also be sustainability-minded foods, products, and fashion from local brands. There will also be a keiki activity table!
This a wonderful partnership between Wai Wai, Circular Fashion Hawaiʻi, Zero Waste Oʻahu, and Pōʻai ke Aloha ʻĀina. Please join us!
