Welcome Jodi!
Jodi Malinoski is the Sierra Club's first O'ahu Group Coordinator. Jodi will be working with the staff and volunteers to push for effective environmental policies at the City Council, engage our 10,000 members on Oʻahu, and increase volunteer capacity and outreach to ensure we end climate change and protect Hawaiʻi's amazing resources for generations to come.A local girl born on Kaua'i and raised on O'ahu, Jodi is committed to protecting the unique environment here. Most recently, Jodi helped implement Surfrider's "Ocean Friendly Restaurant" Campaign. She also helped advocate for the establishment of the stormwater utility system and restrictions on single-use plastic bags. She is eager to add her experience lobbying at the Legislature, coordinating grassroots campaigns for change, and planning successful events to the great work of Sierra Club's staff and volunteers in Hawaiʻi. Jodi received her degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, where she focused on climate change and aquatic pollution.
