Meet our 2018 spring interns!
Please give a warm welcome our 2018 spring interns, Tanya and Marissa.
Tanya Dreizin
Tanya is one of two Sierra Club of Hawaiʻi spring interns. She is currently in her first year of graduate school at Hawaiʻi Pacific University, studying Global Leadership and Sustainable Development. She grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and has lived in Santa Barbara, California, Seoul, South Korea, and now in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Tanya was inspired to get involved with environmental causes because she loves hiking, rock climbing, and traveling, and wants to advocate for and protect the lands where we live and play. She is very excited to work with Sierra Club, get involved with the community, and learn more about the issues affecting Hawaiʻi.
Marissa Kunsch
Marissa joins us as a Global Leadership and Sustainable Development graduate student at Hawaiʻi Pacific University where she also received her BS in Environmental Science. She is the graduate assistant coach of HPU’s cross country teams and works part time as a law office assistant in downtown Honolulu. Marissa is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the Sierra Club as one of the most proactive and dedicated environmental non-profits in the country and looks forward to working with the Hawaiʻi Chapter as a Capitol Watch captain for waste and recycling, and promoting a zero waste Hawai’i.
