Hikes + Service Programs

We know that nature improves our mental, physical, and social health. With more than 100 hikes and service projects to care for Hawai‘i's special places each year, our trained leaders create opportunities for everyone to experience the transformative power of the outdoors—from trekking Kōkeʻe to building trails in Pālehua to reforestation in Hakalau. Check out our outings and service trip programs below with hike schedules in each county.

Here in Hawaiʻi, our experienced outings leaders have been leading hikes and service projects throughout the islands since 1968. Our outings program has been key in building countless trails over the years including the well-known Maunawili and Aihualama trails and provided service to countless others like Kuliʻouʻou, Hawaiʻi Loa and Kamakou. Our service trip programs have brought participants to dozens of remote sites, planted thousands of trees and hiked hundreds of miles of trails.

Outings are open to all, no matter your income, religion, race, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or political beliefs.
